Grant Cockburn joined iDesk in 1998 as part of iDesk's acquisition of software company, MasterSoft where he was a consultant and Director of International Operations. Grant studied law at Manchester University, and subsequently gained an MA in Film & Television at Warwick University. His move into the IT industry was as a result of working on IT training programs as a researcher for a film and television company. Prior to his work at iDesk, Grant had spent 6 years working for software companies in the areas of support and consultant services, including one year running MasterSoft France in Paris. At this time he was consulting for companies, both corporate and SME, in Europe, USA, Canada and the Middle East, assisting in the implementation of customer support software and strategy. As a consultant at iDesk, he has worked with many of iDesk's clients in implementing their Helpdesk and Customer Service strategies, as well as contributing to iDesk's contact centre infrastructure through product development and business process re-engineering. His experience as Operations Director, and Software Director, at iDesk, is a solid background for his current appointment. |
